Repeated applications of pesticides and high salt/nitrogen fertilizers will create a biologically inactive soil, resulting in shallow roots, thick thatch, and the need for more fertilizer to compensate for inactive soil activity. Your lawn will gradually decline in appearance, health and suffer from recurring problems.

Then we nurture the soil with rich organic matter and macro/micro nutrients that will develop a biologically active soil, resulting in a deeper root system, reduced thatch and a vibrant green color. Your lawn will look better, be healthier and resist the problems that plague chemically treated lawns. We treat for weeds present in the lawn and treat for any surface insects as well.

Description: Nutrients are applied for healthy grass and soil development, along with weed and surface insect control and a soil analysis. Contains: Macronutrients (N.P.K), Micronutrients (Iron, Manganese, Magnesium, Sulphur, Calcium, Zinc), rich organic matter, and if required, insecticide and herbicide.

Sulphur (S)

Used to lower PH and make needed nutrients available as well as beneficial bacteria, fungi and micro-organisms.

Important in the production of Chlorophyll and deficiency is sometimes mistaken as lack of nitrogen.

Lawn

A cover crop forced to grow in the same soil year after year. Nutrients are constantly extracted which creates imbalances: thus other nutrients are tied up. The results are shallow roots and unhealthy turf more susceptible to diseases and weeds.

Soil

Natural living bodies. They vary from place to place and are under constant change. They hold all the essentials for plant growth. Consider the soil as the stomach. It must be able to digest what is fed it, assimilate it send finished product for immediate use, then store what is not needed immediately for future use. Any breakdown or other factors that interrupt this process will result in less than desirable plants.

Thatch

The dead organic material that lies on the surface of the soil at the base of the grass plant.

Organic Matter

Plant derived organic accumilations. 4%-6% is ideal.

Macro/Micro-Nutrients

Maganese (Mn) Copper C Zinc (Zn) Iron (Fe) - Needed in small amounts they are like vitamins, giving your plants a greater ability to heal from insect or disease problems and promote a greener color

Iron (Fe)

Deficiencies common in turf grasses with high PH levels. Characterized by yellow leaves with green veins giving the leaf a striped appearance.

Manganese

Less available in high PH soils. Symptom of deficiency is interveinal chlorosis of younger leaves.

Magnesium

Can be removed by leaching and heavy irrigation. Involved in photosynthesis and transfer of energy throughout plant.

Calcium (Ca)

Excess amounts can lock up necessary micro nutrients required for protein synthesis and ion uptake.

Zinc

Required for enzyme activation and carbohydrate metabolism.

White Grubs

Larvae of June Beetles that feed on turf grass roots. Highly destructive and should be treated on an annual basis in Spring.
